A differentiated model Three Exceptional Marketing Communications Leaders Join Firm

Perceptual Advisors is building a highly differentiated global firm that provides full-stack brand strategy, marketing communications and public affairs services to clients. Our team is composed exclusively of proven senior leaders who deliver strategic counsel to clients and roll up their sleeves to do the work. Our aim is to create a rewarding home for like-minded peers, and a culture of creativity, trust and friendship.

As practitioners and leaders in our industry, we believe that the traditional agency model is obsolete and that clients deserve more, and better. So we are flipping the conventional approach on its head—-there are no junior staff here (aside from our amazing intern!), and there is no delegation of responsibilities. We are all former CCO’s, CMO’s, and C-Suite executives who do the work because we value our craft and derive joy through the work we do to drive results.

As part of our growth strategy, we are pleased to welcome three new senior members to our global team of 40+ professionals in Miami, Northern California, NYC, Santiago, São Paulo, Seattle, Southern California, Washington D.C., and Zurich, and now Dallas:

Hal Brice has joined as Perceptual Advisors' Chief Brand Strategy Officer, based in Dallas.
Hal is an experienced brand and marketing strategist. Prior to joining Perceptual Advisors, he co-founded and has led iconic Southern California ad agency HEILBrice, which he founded with his wife August, 30 years ago. He continues to serve there as Executive Creative Director and head of Strategic Planning.

Hal has worked with C-Suite clients across the country in travel tourism, traditional and e-commerce retail, restaurants, and professional sports. Clients have included The Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board, Ralphs, Kroger, The Los Angeles Times, The Los Angeles Clippers, Universal Studios Hollywood, Cirque du Soleil, IHOP, Marie Callender’s, Morgan’s Hotel Group and many more.

During his career Hal supervised the launch of 7 major customer loyalty programs and served on the Board of Directors of publicly traded organic grocer Wild Oats. He has been involved in the production of over 7,000 broadcast projects and is a member of the Director’s Guild of America.

He studied journalism at the University of New Mexico and is a licensed helicopter pilot, a decent drummer and most proud of his marriage to August and his two fabulous girls.

Simon Sproule has joined as Senior Managing Director/Head of the firm's Corporate Communications Practice, based in Southern California.
Simon has over 30 years of communications and marketing experience, principally in the global automotive industry.

He has served in executive marketing and communications positions for Fisker Inc. in California, where he was Senior Vice President Communications, Fiat Chrysler Automotive in Michigan, where he was Chief Communications Officer, Aston Martin Lagonda in the UK, where he was Chief Marketing Officer, Tesla Motors, where he was Vice President of Communications, and Nissan Motor Company based primarily at Nissan's global HQ in Japan, where he was Corporate Vice President for Global Communications.

Born in Hampshire, England he holds a degree in geography from the University of London and is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

Jason Golz has joined as Managing Director/Head of the firm's Financial Communications & Special Situations Practice, based in San Francisco.
He has served as a trusted advisor to leaders at organizations large and small, public and private, helping them communicate through critical moments and connect the dots on a wide range of business matters. Jason is also the founder of advisory firm Highline Group.

Previously Jason served as the communications lead at SoftBank Vision Fund, Prologis and Sea Limited. Prior to these in-house roles, Jason was a partner at Brunswick Group, where he advised clients on corporate reputation, investor relations, and media relations, as well as on IPOs, mergers and acquisitions and activism defense.

In addition, Jason created and led the Capital Markets Advisory practice and IPO Prep program, designed to prepare private companies for the communication rigors of going public.
